Big 3 hosts inaugural draft

The long-awaited Big 3 league held its’ inaugural draft in Las Vegas on April 30 signifying that everything about this league is for real and will be a dream come true for lovers of nostalgic hoops. The draft was shown via Facebook Live and even with some rough spots in the production their is still optimism about how much fun this league can be during the summer. Per the league’s official release:

Rashad McCants chosen with the first ever BIG3 Player Draft selection.

Ball Hogs Player X Revealed as Co-Captain Josh Childress.

Ball Hogs Captain Brian Scalabrine and Killers 3s Captain Chauncey Billups calling and texting selections remotely while watching the Facebook Live feed due to broadcast obligations.

NBA Legends and BIG3 Coaches Julius ‘Dr. J’ Erving, George ‘Iceman’ Gervin, Gary Payton, Rick Barry and Rick Mahorn strategizing with player captains on selections.

3. Killers 3s – Reggie Evans

4. Tri State – Xavier Silas

5. 3-Headed Monsters – Kwame Brown

6. Power – Jerome Williams

7. Ball Hogs – Derrick Byars

8. Ghost Ballers – Mo Evans

1. Ghost Ballers – Marcus Banks

2. Ball Hogs – Rasual Butler

3. Power – DeShawn Stevenson

4. 3-Headed Monsters – Eddie Badsen

5. Tri State – Lee Nailon

6. Killer 3s – Larry Hughes
