Ron Howard seems to be back! He has made a compelling movie using Formula 1 race car driving as a backdrop to the relationship between two pivotal race car drivers that changed the sport in 1976. James Hunt and Niki Lauda were rivals, competitors and virtually friends that unknowingly motivated strength, competition and drive, to succeed in racing in all types of racing conditions. This movie was able to capture what true sportsmanship and competition should look like. The acting was concise and illuminated the friendship that these two rivals created over the sport of racing cars. Daniel Bruhl was surprisingly accurate at his depiction of Niki Lauda and Chris Hemsworth was perfect as the womanizing, philandering and energetic James Hunt. Make sure you are fast enough to catch it when it comes out this Friday September 27th, 2013.
