The Baseline: NBA playoff changes, Hall of Fame and an interview with a NBA Live 16 producer

The Baseline is anxious for the NBA season to start but in the meantime we keep the beat going with offseason coverage. On this week’s show we discuss:

Adam Silver was quick on the draw as news of changes to playoff seeding hit the NBA with much debate. Did Silver do the right thing and do these changes speak to larger moves on the horizon?

Salute salute to all of the inductees recently admitted to the Basketball Hall of Fame:

This year’s list includes 39-year NBA referee Dick Bavetta, three-time College Coach of the Year John Calipari, four-time NBA All-Star Spencer Haywood, eight-time NBA All-Star Dikembe Mutombo, seven-time NBA All-Star Jo Jo White and three-time WNBA MVP Lisa Leslie.

They join the five directly elected members who were announced during NBA All-Star Weekend in February by distinguished committees focused on preserving all areas from the game of basketball. They include Louis Dampiervoted in from the American Basketball Association (ABA) Committee, John Isaacs from the Early African American Pioneers Committee, Lindsay Gazefrom the International Committee, Tom Heinsohn from the Veterans Committee and George Raveling from the Contributor Direct Election Committee.

Finally we chat with NBA Live 16 producer Sean O’Brien as he dishes on the latest modes added to the franchise. What was it like to work with Russell Westbrook and how will this franchise take on its rival NBA 2K. Find out in this exclusive interview.

Tune in and turn up as The Baseline fellas give you the latest.
